James is driven by connection. He believes the most valuable part of his role is the trust built through consistent, human conversations where clients feel comfortable, understood and never rushed. Taking time to connect before moving into strategy is central to how he works.

Supporting small to medium business clients, James enjoys the diversity of business advisory and compliance work, particularly where long-term planning helps clients navigate growth and change. He’s drawn to advisory conversations that go beyond numbers and support confident decision-making over time.

James values working collaboratively across the firm and being part of a culture that encourages balance and connection. It’s an environment where strong relationships, internally and with clients, are genuinely supported. James’ work enthusiasm extends to the office table tennis playoffs, where he proudly claims the title of HMH's best player. 

Outside of work, James is active and social. He enjoys running, playing footy, tennis and golf, and catching up with mates over a beer on a sunny Melbourne afternoon.
